Calabash Seafood Hut

Hello Everyone!

Today, I went to the Calabash Seafood Hut in Calabash, NC. This isn't the first time I've been here. I have been going there ever since I was little. My grandfather would make us eat there at least 3 times during the week that we were at the beach visiting them. He loved this place, and now it's my father's favorite place to eat seafood. The only difference is that we stop on the way to the beach and on the way home. The shrimp is great at the Seafood Hut. I'm not much of a seafood lover, but when I do eat it, I won't eat anywhere but there. My mother likes the fish and shrimp lunch special. My father and I normally get the shrimp special. It comes with shrimp, fries, and cold slaw. It's not a large plate of shrimp, but it's the perfect size, in my opinion. Overall, my favorite thing to eat there is their hushpuppies. The hushpuppies are perfect. It can get very busy in the afternoons, so there might be a little bit of a wait depending on the time of day. They also have a walk-up window outside. You can pick up your order and sit at the outdoor tables, place a Togo order, or pick up your carryout order there. If you choose to sit outside, you should be aware that there is no table service. So, if you're ever in Calabash, NC, North Myrtle Beach, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC, etc., you should stop by there and try it.

Anne Springs Close Greenway

Hello Everyone!

I hope you find this blog helpful as you prepare for your hike. Today, I will be writing about the Anne Springs Close Greenway (ASCG). For those of you who don't know, this greenway is not like a normal greenway. It is more like the trails you would hike if you were in the mountains. There are some easy trails and some intermediate trails. Now don't get confused on the word easy when it comes to these trails. In this case, the word easy pretty much means your not walking up steep hills the whole time. There are about 20 or more different trails here. There is Archers Loop, Billy's WalkFern Forest, Haigler Loop, Steel Creek, Trekker Loop, Blue Star, Avery LoopMill Pond, Paradise LoopPrairie Loop, Tunnel Trail, Dogwood, Ford Gap, HickoryMuscatine, Nation Ford, Timberline, Wagon Loop, and Wild Azalea. So far, I have hiked Mill Pond which is intermediate (Medium) and about a 3.9 mile hike. Depending on how experienced you are at hiking it is about, give or take, a 2 hour hike depending on your pace time. I will continue to update this post as I hike the rest of the trails. Thank you for reading and I hope this helped you prepare a little before starting your hike.

Park Place Restaurant

Hello Everyone!

Today I will be writing about a restaurant in Pineville, NC. The name of this restaurant is Park Place. I have been here many times before. The food here is wonderfull. If you were to visit this restaurant, I would recommend their breakfast menu. I especially like their waffles. Their waffles are always hot and cooked to perfect crispness. I have never had any problems with the waffles. Now as for their hashbrowns, they are more of a hit or miss kind of thing. Sometimes they are great, where as, other times they can be as hard as a rock. The customer service here is wonderful. I have always had a pleasant experience with their service. This restaurant can be really busy at times so make sure to plan ahead.
